Counselling

Sometimes life gets really challenging and complicated. Talking to a trained professional who can be objective, accepting, encouraging and supportive, can help in working through the messiness of life's issues.

There are no magic bullets or simple answers but there are ways to work out how to take a few steps towards getting life more under control and be at least a little bit happier.

There are lots of issues suitable for counselling: complex problems, confusion, crises, family issues, marriage and relationship challenges, loneliness, low self-esteem, stress and anxiety, work and career challenges, struggles at school or uni, feeling down and a bit lost, identity uncertainty, sexuality, grief and loss... and there's plenty more!

Often the hardest step is the first one in getting started, but let's talk. Contact me to arrange an inexpensive initial consultation and we can begin.

Because I mostly work from home I can see you inside or outside normal office hours at no extra cost. Just let me know what days, mornings, evenings suit you best, and I will do my best to find a time that works for us both.

Initial Consultation - $60

Ongoing consultations - $90 each or 3 for $250

Couples Counselling

Brenda and I have been married for almost 25 years, it hasn't always been easy, we've had to work hard at times, but the effort has been incredibly worthwhile.

I would love to share what I have learned from this journey, my academic study and my experience in working with many couples, about what makes a relationship mutually beneficial and precious.

Whether your relationship is facing a crisis, is a bit shaky, or you would just like to develop your skills in specific areas like communication or conflict management, my approach will help you work through to a stronger and healthier connection, soon... or at least get some clarity on what to do next!

LGBTIQ+ relationships welcome!

Testimonials

Mark helped me get through a tough period after divorce. He was super friendly and really took the time to understand my situation and tailor a plan to help my recovery. He made the sessions very comforting and I walked away each time feeling I was another step closer to finding a better place in life. Eventually I got back to my happy place and have Mark to thank for that.
